10:00   10:00-13:00 ERF Infrastructure Safety Forum workshop - The theme "applying innovative approaches to safe road management" reflects the growing role of road research as a supporting instrument to future European legislation in the context of the mid-term assessment of the Community objectives to halve the number of road fatalities. The panellists are all distinguished representatives of the research community involved in the RANKERS project (RANKing for European Road Safety), an initiative which seeks to gain new knowledge of the infrastructure's interaction with the driver and his vehicle in order to identify optimal road engineering measures.
